Deep tissue massage is the therapy for problems that will not go away on their own. The dull ache between the shoulder blades. The neck that will not turn fully to one side. The lower back that tightens every afternoon. These patterns are usually caused by adhesions — bands of rigid tissue that form in muscle and fascia after months of poor posture, repetitive movement or old injury.
The technique is deliberately slow. Your therapist works across and along the muscle fibres with sustained pressure using forearms, knuckles and thumbs, waiting for the tissue to soften rather than forcing through it. Because the work is precise, a deep tissue session often concentrates on two or three regions instead of covering the whole body superficially.
At Aveluna Wellness Spa in Nallagandla our therapists are trained to identify which muscle is actually causing your symptom, which is often not where you feel the pain. Tight hips can produce lower back pain. A locked-up chest can create shoulder and neck pain. We treat the cause, then give you the stretches to keep it away.
Regular sessions produce cumulative benefits. Here is what our guests in Nallagandla, Gachibowli and Tellapur report most often.
Sustained pressure breaks down adhesions in the neck, upper back, lower back and glutes that lighter massage cannot reach.
Releasing shortened chest and hip flexor muscles allows the spine to return to a neutral, upright position.
Increased blood flow clears metabolic waste from overworked muscle and reduces delayed-onset soreness after training.
Freeing restricted fascia restores movement in the shoulders, hips and spine.
Much of the pain around the temples and behind the eyes originates in the upper trapezius and suboccipital muscles, which respond very well to targeted work.
Balanced, pliable muscle tissue is far less likely to strain during exercise or sudden movement.

Good to know: arrive ten minutes early so you can shower, complete a short health form and start your session relaxed. Late arrivals may receive a shortened session so the next guest is not delayed.
You should feel firm, productive pressure that stays within what we call the good pain range, around a six or seven out of ten. Sharp or breath-holding pain is never the goal, and the therapist checks your comfort level continuously.
Mild soreness for twenty-four to forty-eight hours is normal, similar to the feeling after a solid workout. Drinking water, a warm shower and gentle movement help it settle quickly.
For a long-standing problem we usually suggest one session a week for three to four weeks, then a maintenance session once a month. You should notice a clear improvement after the second session.
They overlap. Sports massage is tailored around training cycles and specific movements, while deep tissue focuses on chronic tension patterns wherever they occur. Our therapists combine both when needed.
Tell us about blood-thinning medication, blood clots, osteoporosis, recent surgery, uncontrolled blood pressure or pregnancy. In those cases we recommend a gentler therapy such as Swedish or aroma therapy.
Same-day appointments are usually available. Call, WhatsApp or send us an enquiry and our front desk will help you choose the right therapy for your body and your schedule.
